Concert Aug 30, 2025
Song planning and scheduling
BESUS DE LEJOS
Jasmine: My arrangement is based on a live version Sanatana and Gloria Estofan
1st - All parts, so you can get an idea of the arrangement.
2nd - No main vocal, so you can practice with it. Harmonies are still in (We'll do the harmonies live like this version behind you)
3rd - No guitar. I'll add the guitar live when we do the concert. This version is for me to practice.
Aly: When we do this live, I'll give you a 1,2,3,4 count and start the track. Drums come in on 5.
Ed:
- At 2:24, I'd love it if you did a tenor sax to replace the violin solo. It could give this song a very unique vibe. On this version, the violinist did fills after his solo. I hear a few after the fist chorus too, up to his instrumental. He's like you, picking notes to accentuate.
- At 3:46, there are repeats of the phrase: "Con mi amor te quedas" After the first one, I counterpoint the melody on the guitar. After the second one, please feel free to do anything there. After the third one, I'll come back, with guitar to start rounding out the song end. Feel free to add. Sister Jasmine will sing the last notes and we'll sustain and fade.
EASY (LIKE SUNDAY MORNING) Note: This has an ending instead of fadeout
Jim: I can do the electric guitar solo, and maybe the "Oooh" just before it 🙂
NOW TIL FOREVER
Jim: I'll take out the electric guitar in this track when we do it live.
TIN MAN
Notes:
- I took one guitar and routed it to mostly the left channel. I'll repeat that guitar live in the right channel for a good stereo sound. Decided against a 12-string for now, as it seemed to muddy the song.
- I remixed the drums through a mastering tool for better definition and a little more punch.
- I remixed the piano through a type of delay tool to make it a bit more wispy and jazzy.
- I faded the end a bit more smoothly.
OH DARLING-WITH BLUES ELECTRIC INTRO
Allie Ray: I'll do a 2-3 cord lead-in like you heard in your recording when we do this live
- There is an extra verse at 2:05 for a sax solo by Ed. After his sax you proceed as normal for the 3rd chorus
- Note: Ed and I may add fills in your last chorus and verse

THE NEW WORLD TO COME (Will have music video: using the original video)

Ed: Feel free to add sax there the orchestration pulses are, add your own. There is an empty spot in original song and video that asked me to ask you if you'd like to do a solo there. In that solo spot there is a short arpeggio harmonies. Feel free to add to that too. 🙂
